Ferikes & Bleynat, PLLC, and Cannon Law, PC, Join Forces
The Asheville and Waynesville litigation firms of Ferikes & Bleynat, PLLC, and Cannon Law, PC are pleased to announce that the firms have joined together. The new firm, FERIKES BLEYNAT & CANNON PLLC, will continue to operate both their Asheville and Waynesville locations.
The new firm boasts six attorneys offering more than a century of combined legal experience. Twenty-plus year partners Joseph Ferikes and Edward Bleynat are pleased to introduce William E. Cannon, Jr., William W. Decker, Jr., and Tiffany Yates to the members of the bar that do not know them, and ask that you join us in welcoming them to the district and the camaraderie enjoyed by its members.
William E. Cannon, Jr. (Bill) has been practicing law for more than 40 years. He came to Waynesville from Georgia, where he served as President of the State Bar of Georgia, and is a former member of the Board of Governors of the North Carolina Bar Association where he serves on the Professionalism, Minorities in the Profession, and Civic Education committees, and previously on the Justice and Judiciary Committee. He has extensive experience in complex litigation, business and municipal law, and community associations. A frequent writer and presenter, Bill has been recognized by Martindale-Hubbell as an AV Preeminent Peer Rated Lawyer and by North Carolina Super Lawyers. He is licensed to practice in Georgia and North Carolina.
William W. Decker, Jr. (Bill) is a seasoned trial lawyer who hails to North Carolina from the great state of Michigan. He possesses more than 35 years of construction, contract, real estate, bad faith insurance practices, and will dispute litigation experience and litigated complex civil disputes in Michigan for over 35 years. Realizing a lifelong dream to live in the mountains of Western North Carolina, he became licensed here in 2021. He is an AV Preeminent Peer Rated Lawyer by Martindale Hubbell and is included in Michigan Super Lawyers. He is an active hiker, biker, and golfer. Invite him around and show him the ropes. Tiffany Yates is an Asheville native and a University of North Carolina School of Law graduate. Her practice centers around civil litigation, including will caveats, homeowner’s association rights and responsibilities, and property disputes.
